Playwright & Performer
Sheryl Scott is a native of Miramichi, New Brunswick. Born and raised, as they say. She spent most of her growing up years organizing backyard theatre, where the neighborhood kids would congregate and “act out.” When no one was available, Sheryl would entertain and serenade the trees in her backyard. (Oh, the things they must have heard) Everything was a story waiting to be told. Everyday an adventure to be taken. Imagination was a huge part of her everyday life. She loved to tell, act out, recite, read and write stories for anyone who would listen. Today, Sheryl resides in London, Ontario. She has four boys, who never cease to amaze her and a terrific husband, who faithfully cheers her on! You can find Sheryl still “Storytelling” on any given Sunday at Forest City Community Church, where she had been on the performing arts teams for 28 years…and still loving it! Sheryl is so grateful to her “partners in crime” Desiree, Deb and Lara for their wisdom, love and constant encouragement on this crazy trail. A huge thank you to Blyth Festival for asking her to come and share this most precious story with you….again! You are a most beloved audience. She hopes you laugh, cry and leave rosy-cheeked and satisfied.
Now…in the words of her Grandfather Dintz, “Sit right back bys and I’ll tell yas a tale.”
