Corporate Program Details

Each season, the Blyth Festival presents a season of up to seven productions. Most of them are new works receiving their first performances at Blyth. These exciting new productions are very popular with our regional, national and international audiences, and also attract a great deal of critical interest.

As the main sponsor of a production at the Blyth Festival, your business can enjoy a high level of exposure for a sustained period of time. We announce our season as early as November and from then on, we market to our members and audience continually through to opening night and beyond.

Individuals, trusts and foundations are also warmly invited to sponsor a production.

Marketing benefits of production sponsorship include:

  • Extensive visibility and profile through marketing and promotional materials
  • A variety of client-hosting and entertaining opportunities
  • An opportunity to give back and reinvest in the local region
  • Reaching a targeted demographic to strengthen your own business plan
  • Year-round recognition and exposure through our website and newsletters

Ticketing and recognition benefits include:

  • Guaranteed two (2) Opening Night tickets for the production
  • Recognition (logo placement) on the Blyth Festival website
  • Advertisement in the Festival programme
  • Verbal recognition during performance curtain speech
  • Tax or Marketing receipt
  • Free ticket exchanges
  • Social media promotion (Facebook, Instagram) recognizing your support

Sponsorship = $5000

Given our plays’ Canadian settings and universal themes, sponsors often find that the production aligns with their own core values and mission for outreach and inclusivity.

The Blyth Festival New Play Development program provides new and renowned playwrights alike with the support, knowledge and expertise required to take a play from the first idea on paper to opening night onstage.

Your donation will help support, as our Artist Director Gil Garratt says:

“The essential role the Festival plays in telling the region’s stories, celebrating our heroes and our history, and bringing the highest calibre of vibrant and vital arts and culture to our community.”

The Blyth Festival has enabled 150+ Canadian plays have launched in 49 seasons. It has also assisted in the development and workshopping of numerous other plays. Currently, we have 22 plays under commission, thanks to Bruce Power our New Play Development Sponsor. This ensures a wealth of new plays are in the works for our stages over the next few years.

“Foxton Fuels is proud to continue its 50-year tradition of community sponsorship and its ongoing relationship with the Blyth Festival. We believe live theatre offers us the chance to share a story that can make us laugh and can also move us to tears, that can recognize and celebrate our similarities and our differences, that we can see ourselves reflected in and that can remind us that we are all in this together.

We are incredibly lucky to have Blyth Festival in our “backyard” where the plays, written, performed, directed and designed by Canadians, highlight the joy of rural life in Ontario.”
