Screening of The Clinton Special: A Film About The Farm Show

The Farm Show (by Theatre Passe Muraille) was instrumental in launching the Blyth Festival. In 1972, a group of actors from Toronto came to Huron County to learn from local farmers and they ended up creating a legendary work that forever changed the face of Canadian theatre. This documentary was directed by Michael Ondaatje and released in 1974.

Here’s your chance to hear from two of the Blyth Festival’s beloved playwrights as they talk about their work and the shows they have featured this season at Blyth Festival. Mark Crawford wrote The Golden Anniversaries and Bev Cooper The Trials of Maggie Pollock for our 50th anniversary season!

Walking Tours of Blyth

Get outside and enjoy the summer while learning about the historical highlights of Blyth. Blyth Festival board chair, Gary Coursey will take you on a jaunt around town and share with you some interesting facts (and maybe a few fictions) about our beloved town.

Deeper Roots presents: Women in Agriculture Panel Discussion

As we gear up for the world premier of Onion Skins & Peach Fuzz: The Farmerettes, by Alison Lawrence, inspired by the novel by Bonnie Sitter and Shirleyan English, we welcome several local female farmers to have a conversation about the trials, tribulations about working in this incredibly important industry. This discussion is a part of the Deeper Roots series.
