Blyth Festival Young Company

Our Young Company has been a place for the youth of Huron County to connect, learn, and express themselves for nearly 50 years. This season’s programming includes workshops, summer sessions, and VR experiments. The Young Company programs help youth find a place to belong, develop new skills, and build positive relationships with peers who share similar interests.

Young Company Program 2024

The Summer Session – registration open!

At the Blyth Centre for the Arts in Blyth, Ontario

Tuesday, August 6 – Friday, August 9 – 10:00 am – 4:00 pm
Monday, August 12 – Friday, August 23 – 10:00 am – 4:00 pm (weekdays)

The program will culminate in two performances – an early evening show on Thursday, August 22 and a matinee on Friday, August 23.

Programming consists of workshops with local artists and members of the Blyth acting company and rehearsing a play written specifically for the Young Company by playwright Grace Delamere under the guidance of Ashley Williamson, Director of Education.

Young Company members will be attending matinees during their three weeks with us free of charge and can book complimentary tickets for the evening shows by calling the Box Office. We will also offer a discount for an accompanying adult.

This year, we are asking for a one time $40 registration fee to hold the participant’s place. This fee covers the participant’s Young Company t-shirt and the Pizza Wrap Party at the end of the session.

We aim to keep the Young Company as accessible as possible, if this fee is a barrier, please contact Ashely at education@blythfestival.com.

You can call the Box Office to pay this fee –  1 877 862 5984 by August 1, 2024.
