Blyth Festival Young Company

The Young Company has been an important part of the Blyth Festival for over forty years. It offers young people from Huron/Perth a chance to create their own performance piece in collaboration with each other and professional artists.

This program accepts 20 young people (ages 13-19) every year and is TOTALLY FREE!

and

Monday, August 21 to Friday, August 25 10am-4pm

Over the course of 10 days, the Young Company and their mentors will work together to build a piece of theatre using collective creation. In past years the Young Company has created theatre experiments about climate change, selfie culture and local ghost stories. Each season the Young Company decides the theme of the show and how they are going to tell it.
