Thanks, Gil and thanks to the whole team at The Blyth Festival. This is our fourth Telethon concert and this year we are fully live at Kingsbridge. Virtual or live the event is a success because we have people like Gil on stage with us.

Only a few tickets left to the final performance of The Donnellys: A Trilogy – Handcuffs: Part III on Sunday, September 3, at 8:00PM.

Here's what Christopher Hoile of Stage Door, one of the most respected theatre websites in Canada, wrote in his review of The Donnellys: A Trilogy:

"The present heroic staging at Blyth not only gives Canadians a rare chance to see this great work but also a chance to experience theatre-making at its finest...

Garratt portrays the massacre itself without sensationalism.

Garratt is an extraordinarily imaginative director. Scene after scene is filled with just enough information to suggest what our imagination can fill in.

The chances of seeing The Donnellys: A Trilogy are so rare, much less in such a beautifully acted and directed production, that no one with an interest in Canadian drama should let the chance go by to see it. "

These were as astonishing as I had remembered them from decades ago and were even more moving, and I can't imagine a better theatre to stage them in than the Harvest Stage and a better community in which to see them. It was such a privilege to share them with my wife and with the wonderful audience, too. Thank you.!

Feel very lucky to have experienced the trilogy last weekend. Bravo!

Seeing the Donnelly Trilogy at the Harvest Stage was an amazing experience! Such a talented and dedicated cast and crew who worked on this production for the past several months! Congratulations on a wonderful season!

The Trilogy was so amazing. The final show brought tears..so well done..

I laughed, I cried, I was mesmerized and enthralled. Best show in a lonnnnng time. <3 Oh, and thank you for the blankets !!!

So thrilled to read that this fantastic series of shows received such well-deserved praise! Congratulations to Gil Garatt, James Dallas Smith, the entire truly stellar cast, and the whole creative team! Thank you for bringing this important story to the stage for us to see!

Accurate!

The weather didn’t cooperate for the first 2 shows of the Donnelly Trilogy but the cast still gave 2 tremendous shows. Fortunately the last show was offered outside and it was a fitting finale to a very sad part of our local history. Bravo and many thanks!

Great show!

Extraordinary Actors and Actresses In This Trilogy! I'm In Awe Of The Character Changes Costumes and Set. Throughly Enjoyed This Trilogy I Stand With The Donnelly Family Such A Shame On The Justice System. These Actors Should Make This A Movie! Phenomenal 👏👏👏👏

It's Christopher HOILE. It's a shame he saw "Handcuffs" on a rainy night. He missed one of the neatest bits of stagecraft I've ever seen at Blyth.

When we lived in Bayfield we loved going to the Blyth Festival!

All of these comments make me wonder why I saw nothing about this extraordinary event in either the Star or the Globe and Mail. Maybe real coverage of the arts is too much to expect these days, but considering the place these plays occupy in the history of Canadian theatre, considering how rarely they're performed, and considering how powerfully they continue to speak to audiences, someone ought to have taken notice in the city that claims to be the country's cultural centre.

Fabulous production. Brilliant acting. Loved this SO much. YOU must go to Blyth and catch this production before it is gone for good. You'll be glad you did.

You know when a production is good, when you laugh and then you cry. It was wonderful. The actors portrayed sooooo many different characters. Ends the season with a BANG, go and get tickets, you will not be disappointed
