Actor, director, playwright, Gil has been with the Blyth Festival in some capacity or other since 1999. Outstanding shows over the years have included: Death of the Hired Man, The Drawer Boy, The Outdoor Donnellys, World Without Shadows, Pearl Gidley, The Nutalls, A Killing Snow, the Last Donnelly Standing, The Pigeon King, In the Wake of Wettlaufer, The Donnellys: A Trilogy, Saving Graceland, Radiotown: the Doc Cruickshank Story, The Wind Coming Over the Sea. John Powers is a singer/songwriter living in Goderich. As a busy local performer he can often be found strumming chords and warbling at a nearby watering hole, trailer park or dive bar. As a prolific songwriter you can find his original songs on all the usual streaming platforms. As a father of six he can often be found getting someone a snack, being a chauffeur or reading a bedtime story.

For Blyth: Set, lights and projections for: Innocence Lost: A Play about Steven Truscott, The New Canadian Curling Club, Test Drive and Billy Bishop Goes to War; Set and light design for: The Drawer Boy, The Ballad of Stompin’ Tom, Queen Milli of Galt, The Pigeon King, If Truth Be Told, and A Huron County Christmas Carol. Lighting design for: Pearl Gidley, Stag and Doe, The Wilberforce Hotel, Hockey Mom, Hockey Dad; Set design for: Seeds. Since 1987 Steve has designed award winning sets and lighting for more than 500 productions of theatre, dance and performance art. His work has toured extensively and has been seen in 27 countries around the world. Steve has received several awards including five Dora Awards for his designs. He has also been nominated for several of Canada’s most prestigious awards including the Siminovitch Prize in Theatre and thirty-six Dora Mavor Moore Award nominations.

Jennifer has been fascinated with the language of clothes since she was a teenager and the study of clothing is her passion. She is a designer, educator, creator and purveyor of costume and fashion. Adam Campbell
2025 Sound Designer
Adam Campbell is a Dora-nominated composer, sound designer and musician. Originally from Summerside, Prince Edward Island, Adam has worked as sound designer/composer with Stratford Festival, Blyth Festival, Human Body Expression, Tarragon Theatre, Canadian Stage, Here For Now Theatre, Edmonton Opera, Capitol Theatre and more. Adam has toured and performed throughout North America as a percussionist with TorQ Percussion Quartet and Ladom Ensemble, and regularly plays in the pit for musical theatre productions with companies such as Mirvish Productions and Stratford Festival. In 2019, Adam released his debut solo singer-songwriter album, Guess I’m A People Too, featuring a mix of folk, rock and 90’s-tinged original music. Adam currently lives in Stratford, Ontario, with his wife Alice and their cats Ninja and Nazca.
