Alison Lawrence

Alison’s plays include The Thing Between Us (shortlisted for the Playwright Guild of Canada’s Carol Bolt Award), The Catering Queen, And All For Love and Too Close to Home.   She co-wrote the play bittergirl, the book Bittergirl: Getting Over Getting Dumped (Penguin Canada, Plume US), and Bittergirl – the musical with Annabel Fitzsimmons and Mary Francis Moore.  The Catering Queen and bittergirl are published by Scirocco Drama.  Alison has worked across the country onstage and has been seen on Ghosts (CBS), Murdoch Mysteries (CBC) and as a regular on Amazon Prime’s The Lake. Since 1987 Steve has designed award winning sets and lighting for more than 500 productions of theatre, dance and performance art. His work has toured extensively and has been seen in 27 countries around the world.

Steve has received several awards including four Dora Awards for his designs. He has also been nominated for several of Canada’s most prestigious awards including the Siminovitch Prize in Theatre and thirty three Dora Mavor Moore Award nominations.

Amanda is a passionate theatre creator, performer, and stage manager. She graduated from Brock University’s Dramatic Arts Program and is Co-Founder of Lumen and Jupiter Multi-Arts Company. Amanda is thrilled to be back at the Blyth Festival for her second season! Selected Stage Management Credits: Chronicles of Sarnia (Blyth Festival), Mommy Shark (Lumen and Jupiter), Wally’s Café (Upper Canada Playhouse), John School (Essential Theatre Collective), various productions with Yellow Door Theatre Projects including Robin Hood and Newsies and was the Child Supervisor for White Christmas (Shaw Festival). Selected acting credits: The Vagina Monologues (Gillian’s Place, 2018, 2020), Legally Blonde (Garden City Productions). Severn Thompson

Severn is a director, theatre creator, actor, and associate artistic director for Blyth Festival who began her career here. While still in high school, she appeared in The Cookie War and Fires in the Night, followed later by plays such as Local Talent, Seeds, and last year’s Chronicles of Sarnia. As a director, previous productions include Beyond the Farm Show, Team on the Hill, Wing Night at the Boot, and The Pigeon King. Other directing credits include Candida (Shaw Festival, ’24), Measure for Measure (Shakespeare in High Park) and Peter Pan (Bad Hats/Soulpepper). An alumna of Blyth’s Young Company, Severn is thrilled to be part of the Festival’s 50th season.

Kelly Wolf

Kelly Wolf is a Theatre Maker, a Set and Costume designer and an Artist Educator who has created designs for many theatres across Canada ranging from small independent companies to the major festivals. 

Blyth credits:The Team on the Hill, Judith: Memories of a Lady Pig Farmer and Berlin Blues.

With her Hamilton Arts Award winning, community engaged, site-specific theatre company Open Heart Arts Theatre, she has created and produced Conversations around the Table and Show Home. www.openheartartstheatre.comKelly was awarded the City of Hamilton Arts – Creator Award in 2020. Kelly is currently a Sessional Instructor and an Instructional Assistant with the Humanities Dept at McMaster University, supporting all things theatre design and production related.
