Mark is honoured to be at Blyth for the 50th season. The Blyth Festival has premiered three of Mark’s other plays: Stag and DoeThe Birds and the Bees, and The New Canadian Curling Club, and has presented Bed and Breakfast and Chase the Ace. Other plays by Mark include Boys, Girls, and Other Mythological Creatures and The Gig. His work has been performed across Canada and internationally, and is published by Scirocco Drama. Also an actor, Mark’s recent credits include: By the Light of a Story (Theatre Orangeville), Chronicles of Sarnia (Blyth), and Harry Potter and the Cursed Child (Mirvish). Up next, Vancouver Opera presents Die Fledermaus for which Mark adapted the dialogue. Mark grew up on his family’s farm near Glencoe, and now lives in Stratford.

Since 1987 Steve has designed award winning sets and lighting for more than 500 productions of theatre, dance and performance art. His work has toured extensively and has been seen in 27 countries around the world.

Steve has received several awards including four Dora Awards for his designs. He has also been nominated for several of Canada’s most prestigious awards including the Siminovitch Prize in Theatre and thirty three Dora Mavor Moore Award nominations.

Amanda is a passionate theatre creator, performer, and stage manager. She graduated from Brock University’s Dramatic Arts Program and is Co-Founder of Lumen and Jupiter Multi-Arts Company. Amanda is thrilled to be back at the Blyth Festival for her second season! Selected Stage Management Credits: Chronicles of Sarnia (Blyth Festival), Mommy Shark (Lumen and Jupiter), Wally’s Café (Upper Canada Playhouse), John School (Essential Theatre Collective), various productions with Yellow Door Theatre Projects including Robin Hood and Newsies and was the Child Supervisor for White Christmas (Shaw Festival). Selected acting credits: The Vagina Monologues (Gillian’s Place, 2018, 2020), Legally Blonde (Garden City Productions). Miles has been connected to the Blyth festival since its inception. He has acted on its stage and directed such shows as Innocence Lost, Stag and Doe, and The New Canadian Curling Club among many others. He has worked at virtually every Canadian theatre including numerous shows on all of the Stratford Festivals stages. He is pleased to be back at Blyth with a few old friends and some new ones.

Amanda Wong -Costume Designer for The Golden Anniversaries 

Amanda Wong is an award winning Toronto based set and costume designer. Amanda earned the outstanding design award in Toronto’s summerworks festival for two consecutive years collaborating with directors Severn Thompson and ted witzel. She created and styled costumes for CBC’s Baroness Von Sketch and worked as a scenic artist for reality TV’s Big Brother Canada. In 2020, Amanda designed a 100′ long plexiglass ice sculpture in front of Union station. She has worked with the prominent theatre companies Soulpepper, Tarragon, Obsidian, Modern Times Stage Co, Aluna, Canadian Stage, Nightwood and was nominated for the Pauline McGibbon award. Amanda is thrilled to have been invited to Blyth for its 50th season.
