Project: The Young Company’s 2008 production will be a collectively written (i.e., written by the actors) script titled Teenage Home Invasions. This script will be based on interviews and interactions with residents of Blyth and area.
Teenage Home Invasions will be staged in The Phillips Studio (formerly The Garage) in Blyth, Sept. 9 – Sept. 13 (evenings).
Location: Blyth, Ontario
Job Description: The Young Company Coordinator works closely with the Young Company Director, primarily providing assistance as a stage manager. The Coordinator will provide clear communication to the Young Company ensemble and to the Blyth Festival administrative team. This communication includes:
• Daily scheduling
• production requirements (costumes, set, props, lighting equipment)
• special event details (pancake breakfast fundraiser)
• publicity (poster distribution, press release info)
• other duties, as needed
The ideal candidate will be an area teenager with strong organizational skills and some theatre experience.

Wage: $400/week
Bar & Concessions Manager
This position will manage our on-site concessions for all performances and special events. The successful candidate will be responsible for ordering stock, inventory control and superb customer service for our audience. The Blyth Festival strives to maintain a high level of hospitality and this person will be a key component of the audience’s experience. This position requires Smart Serve certification ( 18 years of age), which will be provided if needed.
Box Office Clerks
This position requires exemplary customer service skills. As a representative of our outstanding summer theatre, you will enhance our audience’s experience by not only booking tickets but also by assisting our patrons in all aspects of their visit to our theatre and our region. Our box office also acts as a tourist information centre for North Huron. There are 3 positions available this summer. The first position will begin in early May, and is ideal for a college or university student. The remaining two positions will begin in mid-June. All positions will be 30-40 hours per week, and will last until late-August and early September.
