GREETINGS FROM OUR ARTISTIC DIRECTOR

It’s back to basics here in Blyth! Our three world premieres are all set in the heart of Huron County, bringing the unique character of our countryside to life through mystery, passion and wit. And, funnily enough, the only play from “away” this season was actually written and premiered in Blyth in 1987, so it’s every bit as local as the rest.

When you come to Blyth to see a world premiere, you are not just taking a night out for entertainment. At the Blyth Festival, the audience is part of our company - listening, talking, and sometimes crying along with the artists onstage as though we are all in the story together. Perhaps it’s because the place itself is so much like home, or perhaps it’s that we wish we were part of the story itself.

Thank you for joining us again this season.Eric Coates signature
