Canadian Theatre

Greetings from the Artistic Director

The Blyth Festival welcomes you “to the heart of Canadian theatre”.

There is nothing quite like seeing a play at the Blyth Festival. From the fresh evening air of Huron County to the chatter of the local crowd, everything matches to make you feel as though you have come back home. Our 2008 season is an exciting mix of comedy, romance, and explosive stories taken straight from today’s headlines.

our charming village ...
In Blyth, you can enjoy the gentle pace of times gone by, combined with powerful and entertaining stories on stage. Meet with some actors after the show for an informal "talk-back" session in the theatre, or just join them across the street for refreshments and a chat. Before the show, visit the festival’s Art Gallery and make sure that you take time to explore the exciting new shops on our main street. Antiques, music, fine crafts and nostalgia all share the spotlight in historic Blyth. And when you join us for a country lunch or supper we will feed you all the delicious Huron County pie that you can hold.

relaxed and rural ...
Our air-conditioned hall is wheelchair accessible and our courteous staff is ready to make your trip pleasant and worry-free. Travelling from any direction, you will find interesting attractions along the way. Please take a look at the Rural Rambles itineraries that we have planned for you and your group to enjoy.

The 2008 season at the Blyth Festival has something for you and all of your friends.

Please join us from June 18 until September 6. You won’t want to miss the experience of the Blyth Festival.
